FAQ Frequently Asked Questions - Internet Curling Club

Subject: Trailing foot

Question:
Any Ideas...I'm looking for what people think is the best way or product to cover your trailing toe?
Please don't say duct tape! ;-> Thanks Rob

Answer:
We have heard and seen many ways people have done this. Including the old Duck Tape.

The two methods that we like are.
Dip Coating which you can get at most specialty tool stores. This allows you to put a coating on the end of you trailing foot to give a hard surface. This link will give you a better idea of the product.

The second and one of the most popular is to place a piece of Teflon on your foot. This will alow for a smother slide as well. The only precaution you must take is to put this Teflon in the correct place so that it doesn't scratch the ice surface when sliding.
