Subject: Hack Protectors

Question:
We have a Junior program at the Gage Curling Club in Oromocto NB. We want to build a hack protector. What dimensions should the protector be to ensure the rocks do not do damage to the hack.

Answer:
There is a simple product to use and someone in your membership can make these. One club that I have recommended this to got a sponsor to put their name on the front of them and that way they were all paid for by the sponsor. The only other problem is storage of these in your facility. Remember you only need one per sheet or just a couple for all sheets. These will also protect against the heavy take outs as well.
